So I had to write a biography for the art gallery to post near my work. I hate writing about myself because I'm so afraid I'll come off as just another pretentious artist type. I spefically stated that I would not write my biography in third person for just that reason.
Anyway, this is what I came up with:
As far back as I can remember, I've been an adventurer.
As a child, I spent all of my free time wandering the forest and exploring every new place it had to offer. At twelve, my dad bought me my first digital camera. It had a whopping one-point-two megapixels, but I was addicted. I shot everything I came across.
As I grew up, my desire for exploration grew as well. Armed with a Rebel XT (and a slight lack of concern about personal safety), I found myself sneaking into old abandoned factories, hospitals, and mental asylums. There was something enticing about the unknown. It was dark, musty, rusted, and even a little dangerous.
My quest to find more abandoned buildings took me on long road trips across New England and I found myself fascinated with the rural landscapes as well. Over time, I developed an interest in nearly every type of photography and did my best to blend them all together. I began dragging my model friends into the dark, creepy buildings and quickly developed a love of portrait photography. With the exploration of abandoned buildings and possibly dodging a few security patrols, I earned a slight reputation as a sort of photographic Indiana Jones in my circle.
In the end, I'm an adventurer. I want to explore every amazing location, every interesting personality, and every beautiful landscape. I do my best to capture them in my own unique -and sometimes unusual- style for others to enjoy. The moment I'm done shooting, I pack up my gear, hit the open road, and wonder what my next big adventure will be.

Wednesday was intense, to say the very least.
It was the early evening. My Mustang roared as I downshifted and pulled into a dusty, crowded parking lot. Wendy Child was riding shotgun and my back seat was packed with my photography gear.
We stepped out of the cool interior of the car into what felt like the bowels of hell. It was roughly ninety-five degrees. The humidity was insane. It felt like breathing water. We had no idea what we'd be getting into.
Over the next six hours, we would be photographing inside a boiling-hot warehouse with Murphy Blue (murphyblue.net) expertly tying and suspending Wendy Child and Bella Vendetta (bellavendetta.
Goodbye DeviantArt, hello Tumblr.
I've been on this site under various names since its inception.....and it hasn't changed. Uploading is a hassle, tagging is a hassle; it's the same issues I've been having since I joined in high school. So, I decided to move on to tumblr because uploading and sharing my work takes a whopping ten seconds.
I'll still post stuff here and I'll check it every day, but I'll be posting much more content on tumblr.
Find me there at http://www.chrisaddams.tumblr.com
Boobs. Huuuuuuuge boobs.
There. I have your attention.
Ironically, there ARE boobs involved. Lots of new models this year. It seems this area is a breeding ground for them. This week, I have shot with two new models and tomorrow I'm shooting with another new model. The three of them are RIDICULOUSLY curvy. I was really happy. I'll have photos to post soon! :D
